PWA Pure Women’s Action
PWA Academy, Cambridge
This event was the 1st time in 2007 the Pure Womens Action has been in Cambridge and it was a single elimination tournament to see who would recieve a slot in the Elite 8 Cup for 2008.
Round One:
She Nay Nay made her return to the PWA by defeating Krystal Banks after Cherry Bomb accidently tripped Banks allowing She Nay Nay to get a suprize roll up for the win.
Cherry Bomb fell victiam to the 21st Century Fox in round one of the tournament. Cherry was often distracted and Banks couldn't keep her focused thus Cherry was eliminated!
Portia Perez defeated the debuting Saphire to advance to round two of the tournament. This match showed a little mean streak in the PWA newcomer and a vicious spinebuster! It was not enough though as the fans cheered Portia to victory.
Aurora squared off against Addy Starr and took it to her through out the match. Addy seemed confussed as to what was happening to her as she was tied in pretzels and forced to tap out. Round Two
The 21st Century Fox edged out She Nay Nay to get into the finals of the tournament to gain a spot in the Elite 8 Cup. This match was very contested and there was several close calls where it could have went either way. Unforently for She Nay Nay she had no choice but to tap when Fox locked in the Foxmission Version 3.
Aurora and Portia Perez locked up next. In what some might think of an upset it was Aurora who was pinned to the canvas for the three count after Portia hit her Twirling Implairer of the second rope.
Krystal Banks and Cherry Bomb came out and faced Addy Starr and a reluctant Saphire in a tagteam match only to have Amy Victory come out and say she should have been in this tournament and right now is challenging all the ladies to a battle royal. She Nay Nay came out and tossed Amy into the ring and Aurora followed from the back! In the end it was Addy Starr who lasted the longest and chucked Amy Victory out last to claim victory.
The Main Event
Winner Gets a Spot in the 2008 Elite 8 Cup
The 21st Century Fox broke her streak of tournaments by defeating Portia Perez in a very good match. Until now Fox had never won a finals match in a tournament. Portia Perez and Fox laid it into another and this was a fight form bell to bell. Both ladies kicked out of the others signature manouvers, and in the end it was a second Fox Drop that gained The 21st century Fox a spot in the tournament of Elite Women next year! |
